Bacteriological investigations of water and sediment of the River Danube between streamkilometers 16 and 1868 from March, 3rd-17th, 1988
published: Jun 1, 1992
These investigations were carried out to get more information about the possibility of applying results of sediment investigations to water quality systems. At 17 sampling points the number of saprophytic and faecal coliform bacteria in water and sediment samples was investigated. Besides the bacteriological investigations the particle size of the sediment samples was the most important factor to be analysed.
