Pelargonium adriaanii (Geraniaceae), a new species from the Northern Cape Province, South Africa

Pelargonium adriaanii (Geraniaceae) from the coastal area of the Northern Province of South Africa is described as a species new to science. Its large rounded petals are unique in Pelargonium sect. Otidia as well as the combination of inflorescence, pedicel and hypanthium characters. An illustration of the new species and a distribution map are provided.
