Genetic Diversity and Host Alternation in Aphid Parasitoids (Hymenoptera: Aphidiidae)
Nemec, Vaclav; Stary, Petr
The genetic diversity of parasitoid populations in the same and alternate host species is projected in the host specificity and its particular phases. Alternative explanations are drawn for host species preference, relative abundance, reproductive capacity and effectiveness of the parasitoids. It is concluded to supplement the parasitoid - host studies done at species levels by infraspecific population levels as well.
