Abstract

Results of a 2 years' study in a stream on the S' Peloponnesos (Greece) are presented. The stream has relatively high water temperatures (10-30 °C); there are extreme differences between seasonal water discharges. Details are given on the emergence species composition, local faunistics, larval feeding types, and seasonal phenology of the abundant water insects, partly in relation to water chemistry, temperature and discharge, as well as to air temperature and rainfall.
