Abstract The Dociostaurini Mishchenko, 1974, in Iran is represented by five genera: Dociostaurus Fieber, 1853, Notostaurus Bey-Bienko, 1933, Mizonocara Uvarov, 1912, Eremippus Uvarov, 1926 and Leva Bolivar, 1909. Notostaurus Bey-Bienko, 1933 is with four recorded species in Iran. Kazakia Bey-Bienko, 1933, Stauronotulus Tarbinski, 1940 and D. (S.) hauensteini group of species are morphologically very similar. Preliminary keys are presented to distinguish Dociostaurus (Kazakia) brevicollis (Eversmann, 1848), D. (K.) jagoi Soltani, 1978, D. (K.) tartarus (Stschelkanovzev, 1921) and other species of D. (Staurronotulus) recorded in Iran such as D. (S.) nigrogeniculatus Tarbinsky, 1922, D. (S.) kurdus Uvarov, 1921, D. (S.) cappadocicus (Azam, 1913), and D. (S.) kraussi kraussi (Ingenitsky, 1897). A list of Eremippus Uvarov, 1926, species recorded in Iran and synonyms of Dociostaurini species is included.
