Abstract
:Anhydrite layers embedded in a halite matrix were deformed under bulk plain strain with the layer (8)oriented parallel and perpendicularto the shortening direction (Z),respectively. Deformation conditions: T=345°C, O"ma x =4.59MPa, ezma x =-40%,e =2*10-7 sol. Computertomographic images of the deformed samples show thrusts (S-LX) and fracture boudins (SE), the geometry of which is largely dependent on the layer thickness.
