Abstract

Analysis of data collected since 1980 shows that concentrations of chlorophyll-a in plankton of three Dnieper reservoirs have decreased during the last 10 to 15 years. At the same time, concentrations of dissolved inorganic nitrogen and ratios of N/P have also declined, whereas ortho-phosphate derived from polluted tributaries has increased.
