Abstract

In recent years the Neomonoceratina helvetica Superzone and Carinocythereis Datumplane have been proposed for both Tethys and Paratethys Miocene successions. Preliminary investigation of ostracodes dealing with this subject showed that these biozones are also traceable in some of the Miocene sequences of Turkey.
