Abstract

Vertebrate fossils (Elephas, bovid, cervid, suid, and Rhinoceros) recovered from the intramontane basin sediment of Kathmandu Basin help to determine an early Pleistocene age of the basin fillings. The fossils are similar to the mammalian taxa of the Pinjor Formation of Upper Siwalik and Karewa deposits of Kashmir Basin.
