A new species of Lejeunea from a humid montane forest in the Yungas ecoregion in Bolivia is described and illustrated. Lejeunea tunquiniensis is characterized by the lateral and ventral perianth keels expanded into auricles. Differences to the morphological similar species Lejeunea papilionacea, L. dipterocarpa, L. lyratiflora, L. tonduzana and L. monimiae are discussed.
