A new species, Grammothele bolivianus, is described and illustrated based on material collected from spiny palm tree in Beni Department, Bolivia. It is similar to G. fuligo in color of basidiomata and ecological preferences, but differs in having significantly larger pores (3–)4–5 per mm and distinctly larger, broadly ellipsoidal to ovate basidiospores measuring as 8–11.5 × 5.5–7.5 μm.
