The species of Anthostomella reported from the Philippines are re-examined. Fourteen taxa are found to belong in other genera, five taxa are synonyms of other previously described Anthostomella species, specimens of two taxa are found to be depauperate, and specimens of six taxa could not be traced. Anthostomella donacina, A. lucens, A. mindorensis and A. sacchariferae are accepted in this paper, while A. phoenicicola is a new record for the Philippines. Anthostomella variabilis sp. nov. is described and illustrated from wood in the Philippines. It is distinct from other Anthostomella species by ascomata having a very long neck, and ascospores varying in shape. Anthostomella flagellariae comb. nov. is also described and illustrated. An annotated list of Anthostomella species reported from the Philippines is given and a key to the accepted Philippine species of Anthostomella is provided.
