Lewinsky are reported as new for Chile, Breutelia masafuerae Broth. as new for the Chilean mainland and Amphidium lapponicum (Hedw.) Schimp. and Pohlia drummondii (Müll. Hal.) A. L. Andrews as new for Argentina. Dicranodontium schwabei Herzog & Thér. is regarded as synonymous with Chorisodontium aciphyllum (Hook.f. & Wilson) Broth. and Cryphaeophilum molle (Dusén) M. Fleisch. var. enerve Herzog with Cryphaeophilum molle (Dusén) M. Fleisch. A distribution map of Cryphaeophilum molle is presented.
