Based on recent bryophyte collections from the island of Socotra and theYemen escarpment mountains, 21 bryophytes are reported, representing remarkable range extensions. Among them Lejeunea rhodesiae, Mastigolejeunea auriculata, and Papillaria crocea are outstanding new finds from Socotra, which are briefly described and illustrated on the basis of local Socotran material. In addition, four further new records are reported from Socotra, and 14, including the rare Gigaspermum mouretii from the Yemen mainland.
