Abstract

The Chlamydomonas Genetics Center at Duke University maintains and distributes cultures of the green alga Chlamydomonas and provides an extensive database and other informational support to users of this important model organism. The collection comprises approximately 3000 strains, primarily of C. reinhardtii. Cultures are maintained in continuous culture on agar and in longterm storage as dried zygospores. The Center is supported by the U. S. National Science Foundation.
