The paper presents a detailed morphotaxonomic account of fifteen species of Pannariaceous taxa from India. Fuscopannaria adnata P.M. Jørg. & Upreti, F. subgemmascense Upreti & Divakar, Parmeliella himalayana Upreti & Divakar are described as new species. Parmeliella philippina (Vain.) P.M. Jørg., is a new combination and Pannaria emodi P.M. Jørg., Parmeliella conopleoides P.M. Jørg., and Parmeliella papillata P.M. Jørg., are new records for India. A key for all the twenty-seven pannariaceous species known from Indian subcontinent is provided.
