Several lichenized, non-lichenized and lichenicolous fungi are reported from the Sundarbans Biosphere Reserve in India. Megalaria bengalensis is described as new to science. Eight species, viz. Amandinea insperata (Nyl.) H. Mayrhofer & Ropin, Anisomeridium tamarindi (Fée) R.C. Harris, Encephalographa anthracothecii Diederich, Enterographa mesomela Sparrius, Saipunkaew & Wolseley, Glonium caucasicum (Rehm) H. Zogg, Hysterographium mori (Schwein.) Rehm, Opegrapha rubefacta Räsänen, and Strigula hypothallina R.C. Harris, are recorded for the first time from India.
