Twenty-six species and two varieties of the genus Rinodina are mentioned from the Canary Islands. Of these, six species R. aspersa (Borrer) J.R.Laundon, R. guzzinii Jatta, R. pyrina (Ach.) Arnold, R. teichophila (Nyl.) Arnold, R. venostana Buschardt & H.Mayrhofer and R. vezdae H.Mayrhofer are recorded as new to this archipelago. Many of the treated Rinodina's are recorded as new for at least one of the Islands. Rinodina abolescens and R. aff. plana have been found foliicolous on Laurus leaves. An annotated list with study results of all the collected specimens is provided. A key to species known to truly occur in the study area is also included.
