17 new records (one liverwort, Riccardia palmata, and 16 mosses) were added to the bryoflora of Afghanistan. The new findings concentrate mainly at the eastern and north-eastern part of the country. Outstanding among the new records are Campylostelium saxicola and Pohlia andalusica, both new to the flora of Southwest Asia. Pohlia tortifolia, a new combination, is recorded for the first time since the type collection in 1962.
