Abstract

10 genera and 29 species of Cephaloziaceae are reported from the Sino-Himalayan region. Several published species of Cephalozia are considered to be of doubtful distinctness and require further study. Sphenolobus langkyrdumii Ajit P. Singh et V.Nath is relegated to the synonymy of Metahygrobiella albula (Steph.) Grolle.
