Wartchow, Felipe; Maia, Leonor C.; Q. Cavalcanti, M. Auxiliadora
Amanita petalinivolva is described as a new species based on material collected in southern Brazil. This gemmatoid species is characterized by its yellow pileus, rather thick limbate universal veil, ramose mature hymenium and pileipellis lacking gelatinized suprapellis. A type study of the recently described A. viscidolutea from Brazilian coastal sand dunes is provided for comparison.
