The Late Palaeocene and Early Eocene palynomorphs recovered from the subsurface sediments of Bikaner District, Rajasthan, are described. The assemblage consists of 50 genera and 65 species; pteridophytic spores are represented by 11 genera and 15 species, angiosperms by 38 genera and 49 species and gymnosperms by 1 genus and 1 species. Thirteen genera and 17 species are new. On the presence of Dandotiaspora dilata, Lycopodiumsporites speciosus and other associated forms, a Late Palaeocene age is advocated for the first time for some lower parts of the sediments. The assemblage is very well represented by many polycolpate, reticulateretibaculate and diporocolpate forms which are not known so far from India or elsewhere.
