Beitrag zur Syntaxonomie und Nomenklatur der bodensauren Eichenmischwälder in Mitteleuropa
This paper presents a new synsystematical concept and a nomenclatural revision for acidophytic oakwoods on the continent of West and Central Europe. The floristic division in the atlantic western part is based on oceanity, in the other areas on the commonly used phytogeographical zones. The syntaxa are briefly characterized. Existing syntaxa names are typified. Typifications are based on the conception that the nomenclatural type must validate the syntaxon's name, that means it must contain the name-giving taxon (or taxa). In special cases the typification is argued in detail. Finally some problems in the Code of Phytosociological Nomenclature are discussed and suggestions for improvements are given.
