For the ecomomically important species control methods are recommended. Abundant references help the reader to continue his/her studies. The text is supplemented by many pictures and drawings to facilitate the recognition of diseases and the identification of pathogens.
The present book is intended both for students and for those involved in practice in identifying the most important and biologically interesting parasitic fungi of coniferous trees in Chile and other South American countries.
