Special Issue: RNAi-Based Biopesticides Volume II: From Molecular Mechanisms to Field Implementation, Innovations in RNAi Delivery, Target Optimization, and Regulatory Frameworks - call for papers
Following the successful exploration of RNAi-based biopesticides in our first
special issue, this second issue delves deeper into the scientific and
technological frontiers shaping next-generation RNA crop protection solutions.
We invite cutting-edge contributions focusing on six critical pillars driving
the evolution of RNA biopesticides: 1) Molecular mechanisms of RNAi response
across diverse arthropod taxa, 2) AI- (artificialintelligence) and BI-
(bioinformatics)driven target gene mining and sequence optimization strategies,
  3) HTS (high-throughput screening) platforms for efficacy assessment, 4) Novel
formulation technologies enhancing environmental stability and cellular uptake,
  5) Comprehensive biosafety evaluation frameworks addressing ecological cascade
effects, and 6) Global regulatory harmonization efforts for RNA biopesticide
  registration.

This issue particularly welcomes studies addressing the key challenges in RNAi
delivery systems, including nanoparticle engineering, plant-mediated RNA
expression optimization, and carrier-free stabilization techniques. We
encourage submissions exploring species-specific RNA response patterns,
non-target organism risk assessment methodologies, and economic feasibility
analyses for large-scale production. Interdisciplinary approaches bridging
molecular entomology, nanotechnology, regulatory science, and integrated pest
management (IPM) implementation strategies will be prioritized, aiming to
establish RNAi biopesticides as a cornerstone in sustainable agriculture.
Submission deadline for RNAi-based biopesticides Volume II is November 30, 2025.
