Schweizerbart Science Publishers (founded 1826) and its affiliate, Borntraeger Science Publishers (founded 1790), offer open access publication in journals, books, and series. All open access publications are licensed and peer reviewed as set forth below:

1. Open Access in Journals and Series:
All journal articles submitted to our scholarly journals undergo double blind peer review. Reviews are guided by the journals’ scientific editors. If requested by the author (and approved by the respective reviewers), the reviewers’ names are made available to authors.

All of our scholarly journals offer Creative Commons Open Access licenses (CC-BY-NC or CC-BY) for open access papers. Every open access paper we publish bears the respective Creative Commons license logo on the title page and is freely available for download from the journal website. Please see the respective journal’s websites for further details.

2. Book publications/monographs:
All book and monograph manuscripts are reviewed by scientific editors and reviewers they appoint.

For all our open access books and monographs we offer Creative Commons Open Access licenses CC-BY-NC or CC-BY.
