Abstract
Anatomy in Italy: The 44th national congress of the Italian Anatomical Society took place at the Institute of Anatomy at Bologna from September 24th to 26th, 1990. The programme consisted of three symposia, plenary lectures, a round table discussion, and several sessions of free communications and posters; Anthropology in Bulgaria: The first national Conference of Anthropology with international participation took place in the "Maison des Scientifiques" of the University of Plovdiv, Bulgaria, from November 21st to 24th, 1990; Dermatoglyphics in Czechoslovakia: The Slovak Anthropological Society and the Faculty of Sciences of the Comenius University were the hosts of the 5th Valsik (13th Bartoš) Memorial Symposium on Dermatoglyphics, held October 31st to November 2nd 1990 at Smolenice, Czechoslovakia.
