The genus Batrachospermum (Rhodophyta) in ex-Yugoslavija

Abstract
Investigation of freshwater red algae on the territory of ex-Yugoslavia shows that the genus Batrachospermum is represented by 10 species. Species B. helmintosum BORY and B. virgato-decaisneanum SIRODOT are recorded for the first time in the flora of ex-Yugoslavia. The paper provides morphological descriptions of the mentioned species, their distribution and ecological characteristics.
