Abstract
Pulvinularia suecica Borzi was recently rediscovered in the littoral zone of lake Fiolen in Sweden. Specimen samples from August 1992 were investigated by light microscopy and TEM. The specific morphological and ultrastructural features of the specimens found are illustrated and compared with the original description of Borzi (1916). The actual taxonomic position of the taxon within the order Stigonematales is discussed.
