Abstract
Two independently isolated repair-deficient mutants of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii were subjected to genetic and mutational analysis. Tetrad analysis showed that the repair deficiency in each mutant is determined by one gene. The genes responsible for repair defects of both mutant strains are located on the linkage group I. UV-induced mutations revealed pronounced differences in the frequency of forward mutations to streptomycin resistance among strains.
