Abstract
11 species of Mermithidae are recorded in running waters of Eastern Hesse. One genus, Torsiomermis, and 4 species, T. granularis, Hydromermis illiesi, Lanceimermis schlitzensis, Gastromermis dorsospicularis, are described as new. Some other species are recorded for the first time since their description. Over 90 % of the specimens were found in interstitial biotopes.
