Abstract
FIEVET et al. (2001) is incorrect on three accounts: (1) the authors were not working as part of the Luquillo Long Term Ecological Research program but only as a complement to it, (2) the low-head dam they studied was completed in 1984, 11 years before their study, and (3) they concluded that the dam was having a negative impact on larval freshwater shrimp migration, so might affect upstream populations in the long term.
