Abstract
Seven new species of Freycinetia from New Guinea are described: F. bomberaiensis (Irian Jaya), F. erythrophylla, F. kaugelensis, F. longiramulosa, F. mediana, F. sachsenensis, and F. tarali (Papua New Guinea). Specific characters from both gross morphology and the anatomy of fruits, seeds, and leaf auricles are used for description.
