Erstmals für Island konnten nachgewiesen werden: Moerckia blyttii; Haplomitrium hookeri, Lophozia marchica, Solenostoma oblongifolium, Dicranum bergeri und Drepanocladus lycopodioides.
Abstract
A list of Bryophytes from Iceland is presented, mainly collected by the author during a phytolsociological excursion in the summer of 1971. Some descriptions of the climatic conditions of the places under study are offered, and a list of the abbreviated names of these localities as well. Several indications supporting the theory of overwintering ice-age bryophytes are discussed, following by a description of some charakteristic biotopes under study, such as mires, lava caves, and hot springs. The bryophyte list contains 6 species new to Iceland: Moerckia blyttii; Haplomitrium hookeri, Lophozia marchica, Solenostoma oblongifolium, Dicranum bergeri and Drepanocladus lycopodioides.
