Kurzfassung
Verf. bringt einleitend kurze Angaben über Lage und Natur der Insel, auf der eine nördliche Kalkkette, ein mittleres Tiefland und ein südliches basaltisches Massengebirge vorkommen. Anschließend berichtet er über die Moosvegetation dieser Gebiete. Dann folgt ein Verzeichnis der Inselmoose. 7 Leber- und 18 Laubmoose sind neu für Zypern, so daß jetzt 17 Leber- und 138 Laubmoose, insgesamt also 155 Arten, von der Insel bekannt sind.
Abstract
Introductorly the author explains the situation and the nature of the island, on which a chain of limestone-mountains in the north, a low plain in the middle and a basaltic mountain in the south are found. Subsequently he reports over the bryophytic vegetation of these areas. Then follows a list of the bryophytes. 7 hepatics and 18 mosses are reported as new for Cyprus so that now 17 hepatics and 138 mosses, altogether 155 species are known from this island.
