Abstract

The ophicalcite studied is the product of hydrothermal activity on the primary serpentinite rock. During the ophicalcitization of serpentinite, the main mineral content remained unchanged, only calcite coming from the overlying limestone was added. The ophicalcitization process was accomplished under low-temperature conditions.
