Abstract
Phase equilibria study of the pseudoternary system Tl2S-HgS-As2S3 at 200 °C shows a central solid solution series extending from TlHgAsS3 to TlHgAs3S6 which is flanked by tie lines to the binary HgS-Hg3As2S6 series and to the phase TlAsS2 (lorandite). The two endmembers of the central series correspond, respectively, to the two minerals christite and simonite.
