Abstract
Slavikite is rhombohedral, space group R3. The structure consists of two-dimensional infinite networks of directly interconnected Fe coordinationoctahedra and sulfate tetrahedra. The networks run parallel to (00.1) and are connected to each other by hydrogen bonds. According to the structural analysis the chemical formula of slavikite of La Alcaparrosa, Argentina, is NaMg2Fe5(SO4)7(OH)6 • 33H2O.
