Abstract

Analysis of stratigraphic ranges of inocerams shows that it is desirable to distinguish an Inoceramus costellatus Zone in the Turonian stage of Central Europe. The definition of this zone in the existing stratigraphic scheme is presented, and its significance is discussed.
