Abstract

During a preliminary study of the chrysophytes in the Great Xing’an Mountains, northeast China, a total of 41 species and 3 varieties belonging to 16 genera were identified. Among them 1 genus, 9 species and 2 varieties are newly recorded in China; Dinobryon cylindricum var. palustre, Epipyxis utriculus var. pusilla, Epipyxis epiplanctica, Epipyxis proteus, Epipyxis deformans, Kephyrion spirale, Stokesiella minutissima, Chrysopyxis colligera, Lagynion delicatulum, Synura multidentata and Pseudodendromonas sp. Further research in this area will continue to provide new information on the distribution and biodiversity of chrysophytes.
