Kurzfassung
Nach zwei Jahren als Herausgeber der traditionsreichen Palaeontographica Abteilung B ist es an der Zeit, sich wieder einmal direkt an Sie als Leserschaft zu wenden, um eine Standortbestimmung vorzunehmen und über Neuerungen zu informieren. Aus unserer Sicht ist die Zusammenarbeit mit unseren Autoren, mit dem Verlag und Ihnen als Leser erfolgreich gewesen. Die Zeitschrift hat nach wie vor ein hohes Ansehen im Fach und bei der Wahl eines Publikationsorgans für umfangreichere Artikel in Taxonomie und Systematik fossiler Pflanzen fällt die Entscheidung häufig zu unseren Gunsten. Das inhaltliche Spektrum der letzten Bände reichte von paläozoischen Pteridospermen Europas, über kretazische Gnetophyta Südamerikas bis hin zu pliozänen Angiospermen-Hölzern Afrikas.
Abstract
After two years being Editors-in-chief of the longstanding Palaeontographica Abteilung B it is an appropriate time to address directly to the readership in order to take stock ofwhere we are and to summarize recent developments. From our point of view the collaboration between our authors, the publishers and you as readers has developed successfully. Our journal is held in high esteem, and when selecting an appropriate journal for longer articles on taxonomy and systematics of fossil plants Palaeontographica B is often the choice. The content of the latest issues reflects the broad support by the community, with articles on Palaeozoic pteridosperms from Europe, Cretaceous gnetophytes from South America and Pliocene angiosperm wood from Africa.
