Abstract
The structural homogeneous and homotoneous community-types of Eu-Elodeids and Magnopotamogetonids in the area of Central Europe, their characteristic species combination, ecological condition, distribution, subdivisions, contacts, endangerments and nomenclature are explained. International understanding and the species variability within the association-groups of widespread hydrophytes demand to complete all single names of hydrophytic associations by adding a second taxon (comb. nov.). Moreover there is given a new description of Callitricho- and Ranunculo-Elodeetum canadensis, Nupharo-Potamogetoneteum lucentis, Potamogetoneteum crispo-lucentis, Potamogetonetum perfoliato-alpini, Ranuncula-Groenlandietum and Elodeo-Potamogetoneteum crispi.
