Kurzfassung
Nach einem kurzen Einblick in Bodenverhältnisse, Klima und Wuchsgebiete der vor der Kanadischen Pazifikküste gelegenen Insel Vancouver werden 10 aquatische, 7 epipetrische, 6 terrestrische und 8 epiphytische Moosgesellschaften der Insel behandelt. 224 Vegetationsaufnahmen in 15 Tabellen und einigen Listen belegen die Einheiten. Den Schluß bildet eine vom Verfasser und von Herrn Prof. Dr. W. B. Schofield, Universität Vancouver, zusammengestellte Liste der auf der Insel Vancouver aufgesammelten und beobachteten Laub- und Lebermoose.
Abstract
After a short insight in the situation of the ground, the climate and the territories of vegetation of the isle of Vancouver, extended in the front of the Canadian coast of the Pacific Ocean, the 10 aquatic, 7 epipetric, 6 terrestrial and 8 epiphyte moss communities of the isle are dealed with. The details are supported by 224 vegetation records in 15 tables and some lists. Finally there is a list, made by the author and Prof. Dr W. B. Schofield from the University of Vancouver, about the picked up and observed leaf- and livermosses on the isle of Vancouver.
