Abstract

Geodiversity of Poland is great, therefore the country is very attractive from the point of view of geotourism. We have a complex geological structure and lithostratographic units exposed on the surface. We enjoy the wealth of geomorphological forms, minerals, fossils, and the geological processes that took place in the past and are still continuing. The development of geotourism requires that a network of objects is established, which shall be properly sorted out, valorised, well preserved and adapted to tours of visitors and to exploration purposes (Słomka et. al., 2006).
