Abstract

The application of the dynamic equlibrium concept to isostasy has been frequently discussed, e. g. such as in the case of the recent (last 10000 years) uplift of Scandinavia and Northern Canada due to the ice sheet unloading. Tne purpose of this note is to examine isostasy as a system in dynamic equilibrium on a world scale.
