Kurzfassung
Es erscheint angebracht, kurz auf zwei in dieser Zeitschrift erschienene Beiträge (Hastenrath [1960], Hövermann [1960]) einzugehen. Ziel der früheren Mitteilung war es vor allem darzulegen, daß Frostwechsel zwar das wirksame Agens sind bei der Entstehung von Froststrukturböden, daß aber für ihre großräumige Verteilung Art und Grad der Bewachsung als entscheidend anzusehen sind, was wiederum eine Funktion des gesamten Klimas und seines großräumigen Wandels ist.
Abstract
It seems appropriate to briefly discuss two articles published in this journal (Hastenrath [1960], Hövermann [1960]). The aim of the earlier communication was primarily to demonstrate that while freeze-thaw cycles are the active agent in the formation of frost-structured soils, the type and degree of vegetation are decisive for their large-scale distribution, which in turn is a function of the overall climate and its large-scale change .
