Kurzfassung
Zum erstenmal wurden Geschmacksschwellenwerte bei zwei Arten der Lemuridae (Microcebus murinus, Cheirogaleus medius) ermittelt und verglichen mit den Leistungen von Aotus trivirgatus sowie anderen nachtaktiven Primaten. Diese verhaltensphysiologischen Ergebnisse wurden an einer Zweifach-Wahlanlage ermittelt. Lösungen von Saccharose, Natriumchlorid, Essigsäure und Chinin-hydrochlorid, die die vier Geschmacksqualitäten repräsentieren, dienten als Stimuli. Mit den vorliegenden Ergebnissen kann gezeigt werden, daß keine großen Leistungsunterschiede zwischen den nachtaktiven und tagaktiven nichtmenschlichen Primaten bestehen.
Abstract
For the first time the thresholds of taste were ascertained in two species of Lemuridae (Microcebus murinus, Cheirogaleus medius) and compared with the data in Aotus trivirgatus and other nocturnal primates. These behavioural experiments were done with a two-tube preference test. Solutions of sucrose, sodium chloride, acetic acid and quinine hydrochloride, representing the four taste qualities, were used as stimuli. The results show a close relation of the gustatory data between nocturnal and diurnal nonhuman primates.
