Überzählige Musculi peronaei beim Menschen

Kurzfassung
An 100 Leichen von Mitteleuropäern finden sich 20 überzählige Mm. peronaei; ihre Ursprünge und Ansätze werden beschrieben. Bei Mittel- und Westeuropäern finden sich solche Muskeln um ein Vielfaches häufiger als bei Osteuropäern und Indern. Da die Benennung überzähliger Wadenbeinmuskeln im wissenschaftlichen Schrifttum unterschiedlich und verwirrend ist, wird eine grundsätzlich neue Nomenklatur vorgeschlagen, die sich an den Ursprungstypen der Muskeln orientiert: 1. M. peronaeus accessorius superior: entspringt vom Condylus lateralis tibiae. 2. M. peronaeus accessorius medius: entspringt zwischen M. peronaeus longus und M. peronaeus brevis. 3. M. peronaeus accessorius inferior: entspringt distal vom M. peronaeus brevis. 4. M. peronaeus accessorius imus: Verdoppelung des M. peronaeus accessorius inferior. Die in der Literatur für die Mm. peronaei accessorii verwendeten Namen werden untereinander und mit den vorgeschlagenen Benennungen homologisiert. Entgegen anderslautenden Behauptungen kann den überzähligen Wadenbeinmuskeln keine ursächliche oder maßgeblich fördernde Bedeutung für die Plattfußbildung zugeschrieben werden.
Abstract
20 supernumerary peronei muscles are found in 100 cadavers of Central Europeans, the origins and insertions of which are described. These muscles are found many times more frequently in cadavers of Central and Western Europeans than in cadavers of Eastern Europeans and Indians. As the denomination of supernumerary peronei muscles in the special literature is diverse and confusing, a fundamentally new nomenclature referring to types of origin is proposed: 1. Peroneus accessorius superior muscle: arising from the lateral condyle of the tibia. 2. Peroneus accessorius medius muscle: arising between peroneus longus and peroneus brevis. 3. Peroneus accessorius inferior muscle: arising underneath the peroneus brevis. 4. Peroneus accessorius imus muscle: doubling the peroneus accessorius inferior. The names of supernumerary peronei muscles used in the special literature are brought to homologous terms with the above mentioned denominations. Despite contrary statements the supernumerary peronei muscles cannot be said to cause or develop the flat foot.
