Volume 29 of Krystalinikum adresses petrologic
problems of environmental geology. The
articles describe among others, the creation of geoparks and
didactic trails in Central Europe, the
influence of the structure of rocks and soils
on the environment and living conditions (radon production, soil
pollution) and especially the possibilities of
using various industrial waste materials as secondary
raw and construction materials. Tests over a period of more than ten years
are evaluated to assess the possibility of recycling
coal ash from thermal power plants and
metal slags. A paper on the
use of rare rock types to manufacture weapons
in primeval Europe concludes this volume.
Die Beiträge in diesem Band sind
umweltgeologischen Themen gewidmet.
Die Beiträge beschäftigen
sich mit der Gründung von Geoparks und
Lehrpfaden in Mitteleuropa, mit dem Einfluß
der Zusammensetzung der Gesteine und
Böden auf die Lebensbedingungen
(Radonproduktion, Bodenverschmutzung)
und vor allem mit den Möglichkeiten der
Nutzung verschiedener Produktionsabfälle
als Sekundärrohstoffe und Baumaterialien. Es
werden über mehr als 10 Jahren durchgeführte Tests
ausgewertet, die Möglichkeiten der
Aufbereitung von Abfall besonders aus
Wärmekraftwerken (Aschen) und der
Metallindustrie untersuchen. Das Heft schliesst
mit Artikel über die Nutzung von seltenen
Gesteinen zur Werkzeugherstellung im frühgeschichtlichen Europa.
