This volume contains the detailed documentation of the foraminiferal taxa living in the Northern Bay of Safaga, and completes the sedimentologic and faunistic description of this modern, tropical, shallow marine habitat. The characterised niches range from less than 5, down to more than 50 meters depth in a mixed carbonate-siliclastic setting.

The presented foraminiferal data will serve as an excellent tool for the interpretation of comparable fossil and foraminiferal assemblages and their palaeoenvironments.
